What a douche…

September 3, 2010

You know how you can tell someone has no business commenting on politics professionally – when they write something like this

The Founders didn’t wisely orient the Senate around states. They pragmatically oriented the Senate around states. But now that we’ve been the United States of America for a while and none of the states seem likely to secede, the fact that California has 69 times more people than Wyoming but the same representation in the Senate is an offensive anachronism, at least to Californians.

Are you stupid Klein? Don’t you understand that that pragmatism was the genius behind setting the Senate up the way it is. It was to keep the larger more populous states from running roughshod over the rest. Do you really think that people in the midwest want California and NY making all their decisions for them. You advocate organizing the Senate in economic terms, well look at who is performing economically currently and who isn’t and explain to me why people in North Dakota and Texas should accept this idea and in 10 years when TX has more people than CA explain to them that the Senate should be based on population.

I repeat, What a douche.

Personally, I’m leaning toward the notion that a state that runs a deficit year after year should be deprived of some of its Congressional delegation until they get their shit together.

that would only be an issue if they received federal funding. Of course, they all do.

      The question then becomes, why?

I guess he doesn’t understand the distinctive structures of the House and Senate and the reasoning behind those structures. You know, like one might learn about in third-grade social studies. At least, that’s what used to be taught in third-grade social studies. My social-studies classes were not history or civics classes at all, besides learning about all the bad -ism’s (racism, imperialism, colonialism) that reinforced the education cabal’s ideas about how we ought to view history.

Oh sure Msr. Androgyny, that’s a big problem now in the House, “larger states running roughshod over other states”. When each Rep is for about 650,000, there is collusion in larger states, even worse than partisanship.

And just look at states like AK & WV, with their small populations, getting much higher per/capita Federal $. How do they do it, w/ little rep in the House? And all sorts of other randomness & erratic in doling out Federal $. Those Committees just look at population & don’t. Those Chairs are so fair, as are all people who work for government, because there;s not the evil profit motive.

What does the person, who made the observation on unequal representation in the Senate, & for the Electoral College, have to do with female hygiene?
