Saw this coming…
U.S. Sen. Harry Reid has opened a strong lead over Republican opponent Sharron Angle after pummeling her in a ubiquitous TV and radio ad campaign that portrays the Tea Party favorite as “too extreme,” according to a new poll for the Las Vegas Review-Journal.
fortunately there is still some hope –
it’s too soon to write off Angle. More than one-quarter of the nonpartisan swing voters who probably will decide the Nov. 2 election haven’t jumped to the still-unpopular Reid but instead are undecided or in the “other” or “none of these candidates” columns, the poll showed.
Right now the polling is Reid 44% Angle 37%.
Billy Roper is a write-in candidate for governor of Arkansas and an unapologetic white nationalist.
“I don’t want non-whites in my country in any form or fashion or any status,” he says.
Roper also is a tea party member who says he has been gathering support for his cause by attending tea party rallies.
Yay! The media finally found their racism. It looks like they had to actually do some investigating, something that would have been useful when Obama was running for President, but they found it. The question is, what does it mean? Nothing! Yes, there are some racists who associate with the Tea Parties, but to my knowledge the Tea Parties are not knowingly associating with racists. Do you see the difference? In every case that I am aware of when a “Tea Partier” has expressed racist views they have been immediately repudiated by the Tea Parties. When is the last time you saw that from organizations like the NAACP or CAIR? The Tea Parties can’t control what is in peoples’ hearts they can only try and keep the organization as tolerant and open as possible.
(I am not a Tea Party supporter. I am sympathetic to their complaints about spending, government overreach and so on but frankly I think that they are more likely to extend such programs, because they will cause vote splitting, than to help end the problem. I also think many of the Tea Party candidates verge on criminal stupidity)

Contrast: Starship Troopers, Airmobility and Light Infantry – As I have mentioned before, in my previous life I was a Navy Corpsman, which meant I essentially joined the Marines. The USMC uses both light infantry and airmobile concepts in their operations and does so rather well in my opinion so I thought this article was kind of interesting.

Impossible to register a handgun in Chicago? In the Wake of MacDonald v. Chicago the city has adopted a novel way of complying, making it impossible to complete the form required for a permit. Back to court I guess.
