Panties are in a bunch this morning…

because Republicans dared to criticize Thurgood Marshall during the Elena Kagan hearings yesterday. Personally I think that line of attack is misguided but Marshall is certainly open to some criticism as one of the most liberal justices to sit on the court. That is separate from the great work that he did in helping to end segregation. I remember watching him on TV a few times and he came off as a mean, bitter, petty, man to me and in my opinion he didn’t like America very much or regard the Constitution very highly and while I am not a lawyer I seem to remember reading a few times that his legal reasoning was questionable
