What??? Are you kidding?

January 19, 2010

Mr. Obama didn’t do what Ronald Reagan, who also faced a poor economy early in his administration, did — namely, shelter himself from criticism with a narrative that placed the blame on previous administrations.

So the constant refrain of it’s Bush’s fault that has been leaking out of Obama’s mouth for the last 12 months weren’t designed to blame the previous administration?

I can only assume that Krugman has had a stroke that has rendered him incapable of coherent thought.

“I can only assume that Krugman has had a stroke that has rendered him incapable of coherent thought.”

Of course, that assumes he was capable of coherent thought in the first place.

Seriously, though, reading the article, especially the bit about how it was the Bush administration that was standing in the way of tighter regulation on the banks, makes me think that he’s attempting The Big Lie – lie so big that people start to think it might be true, because they can’t believe anyone would tell such an obvious lie. Sometimes it even works.

Or he might just be an idiot. I swear I’ve seen his name in conjunction with other reality-denying articles, so it might just be his thing.

The big lie and idioticy are not mutually exclusive 🙂
