So unemployment is supposed to be unacceptably high for years – also Glenn Greenwald is a jerk (just thought I would say) – finally I told you that after caving to North Korea we would cave to Iran next

September 12, 2009

according to Lawrence Summers, but according to Fox News this morning only about $93,000,000,000 of the economic stimulus money has been spent (it was on the crawler I can’t find a link). Seems to me that if we took the other $600,000,000,000 plus and directed it to corporations to bring manufacturing jobs back onshore we would kill a number of birds with one (OK 600,000,000,000) stones. Am I wrong?

Probably. I’m sure people have a billion reasons why this wouldn’t work, but here is my experience. People who have a job spend money and money keeps the economy moving. It sure seems to me that my way makes a lot more sense than a bunch of fake green jobs.

Glenn Greenwald’s latest column is a classic in selective memory. Somehow the entire 8 years of people questioning the legitimacy of the Bush presidency and wishing him dead in print, on the radio, and on TV has vanished from memory. I refuse to link the jerk but you can find it without too much trouble.

And finally as predicted the administration is on it’s knees for Tehran now. New maps without the state of Israel are being prepared.

Q and O ties the capitulation to North Korea, and presumably Iran, in with Honduras and makes the point that like Jimmy Carter Obama has never met an anti-American dictator he didn’t like.

However, cheaper green electricity is coming; http://www.engadget.com/2009/04/15/solaren-corp-to-supply-california-with-space-based-solar-power/

Cheap power = more jobs, and non-imported-power = energy independence, both laudable.
