Thomas Friedman goes batshit insane – advocates fascism

September 9, 2009

I said I wanted something amusing to post – here it is

One-party autocracy certainly has its drawbacks. But when it is led by a reasonably enlightened group of people, as China is today, it can also have great advantages. That one party can just impose the politically difficult but critically important policies needed to move a society forward in the 21st century.

I’m pretty sure a large number of human rights organizations, Uighurs, and Tibetans would disagree on just how enlightened the leaders of China are, but I get your point. Life is much easier if you don’t have to worry about pesky things like laws and constitutions (or voters for that matter).

Our one-party democracy is worse. The fact is, on both the energy/climate legislation and health care legislation, only the Democrats are really playing. With a few notable exceptions, the Republican Party is standing, arms folded and saying “no.” Many of them just want President Obama to fail. Such a waste. Mr. Obama is not a socialist; he’s a centrist.

you might want to talk to Pelosi on this one. She is the one who denied Republicans any place in negotiations and refused to allow their amendments to be considered on a number of issues. Oh and your right Obama is a centrist – he believes he should be the center of the universe and that’s all that matters, the way he is trying to go about achieving that is decidedly socialist.

Well, a shemale who thinks conservatives wouldn’t like to kill her/him certainly knows something about being batshit insane.

Friedman is a moron. The main drawback of the one-party autocracy is that “a reasonably enlightened group of people” can be corrupted by power as bad as those who are not as “enlightened”. Human nature, despite supposed “enlightenment”, hasn’t change.

Oligarchy by any other name is still an oligarchy.

The President is not a centrist. Unless you are viewing him from the far left edge of the political spectrum, or what I’d call, the edge of sanity.

Oh yeah, congrats on the first troll/douchebag.

This was definitively proven during the French revolution. Funny, I saw a video yesterday that was discussing this very thing. Unfortunately I cant remember where.
